Vivienne Albiston in the Spotlight

Originally my creative practice was craft based, mainly involving textiles. This has evolved and grown culminating in a degree in Ceramics at Trinity St David, Carmarthen.

This body of work stems from a recent exhibition with the Carmarthen Artists Network in collaboration with The National Botanical Garden of Wales. My original link was with archival paper and pamphlets that they wanted to be recycled. So began my exploration with paper.

Paper, the magical way it can be transformed via mark making. Paper in porcelain, papr moulded, paper sculpted - the possibiities are endless.

The 'Spotlight' has given me the chance to show some of the experimental journey I have been on for the last two years, and of course it influences wat I may do in the future.
