How to become a Member of King Street Gallery

King Street Gallery is an artist/maker’s gallery where every Member is an equal partner.

We seek to have a broad range of styles and materials represented at the Gallery.

Artist/maker Members benefit from:-

  • Being part of a vibrant gallery with other artists

  • Peer support and mentoring

  • Making sales, meeting the public and collectors, talking about art

  • Continuous exhibition of their work at the Gallery, which offers an outstanding space for presenting work, and on the Gallery's website and social media

  • A respected platform for sales of original work at very low commission rates (currently 20%) with a wide visitor base from South and West Wales and beyond

  • A physical platform to compliment any on-line presence they may have

  • A strong physical and promoted presence in the West Wales area.

Members:-

  • Pay a monthly membership (currently £35 per month, tax deductible)

  • Spend approximately one day a month stewarding the gallery, with the opportunity of meeting visitors/collectors

  • Contribute to the running of the Gallery, and meet regularly to discuss its progress

  • Have the opportunity to stage solo exhibitions in the Chate Room, with preferential Members’ rates on commission on sales, and in the ‘spotlight’ room on a rolling basis.

To apply to become a Member:

  • E-mail us at gallery@kingstreetgallery.co.uk with your CV and six images of your work or link to your website (subject: 'Applying for membership')

  • We then circulate this information to our current membership and if we believe you would make a current 'fit', we invite you to make a short, friendly and informal presentation when we can look at your original work.
