My work explores the relationship between the colour, textures and forms present in our environment and the sense of place that these elements bring to us. We are all rooted in our past memories, present hopes and future dreams - and with that, the emotions that sight, touch and atmosphere bring.

For me the use of textiles – in their widest sense, and their relationship with wood, slate, stone, air, water and the discarded elements of past human activity reflect the symphony of life and our experience of it.

I create 2D, 2½ D and 3D forms and images that can take their place in our immediate environment as body ornament, sculpture or wall art.
